This policy explains how our digital proof and approval process works, what’s expected from customers before approval, and how production timelines and changes are handled. It’s designed to keep production accurate and predictable for every order.

Digital Proof Approval Process

Genie Packaging provides a digital proof for every order before production begins. Your proof may include:

• Final artwork layout
• Dieline structure
• Size and dimensions
• Cut and fold lines
• Bleed and safety areas
• Printing placement
• Finishing details

Production begins only after you approve the digital proof.

Customer Responsibility Before Approval

You are responsible for carefully reviewing all proof details before approving, including:

• Spelling and grammar
• Logo placement
• Colors and branding
• Barcode placement (if applicable)
• Box dimensions and specifications
• Dielines, cut lines, and fold marks
• Material selection
• Finishing options (foil, embossing, UV, lamination, etc.)

Genie Packaging is not responsible for errors that were present in and approved on the final proof.

Production Start Timeline After Approval

Once you approve your digital proof, your order is typically scheduled into production within 24 business hours. Because of this fast turnaround, changes requested shortly after approval may not be possible.

Changes After Artwork Approval

Once artwork is approved and production has started, changes and cancellations are generally no longer possible. If you need to request a change after approval, contact us as soon as possible; depending on the production stage, we may be able to offer a revised quote for a reprint, at the customer’s expense.

Physical Pre-Production Samples

For eligible larger or premium orders, Genie Packaging may offer a physical sample before full production, subject to project timeline and approved sampling cost. Physical samples typically take up to 10 business days to produce and ship, and are intended to help you confirm materials, structure, and print output before committing to a full run.

Color Variation Disclaimer

Because of differences in screen display settings, lighting, printing materials, and manufacturing processes, minor color variation may occur between digital proofs and finished packaging. We do our best to match your brand colors accurately, especially when you provide Pantone codes, CMYK print specifications, and high-resolution artwork. If exact color matching is critical to your brand, we recommend ordering a physical sample before full production.

Artwork File Requirements

For best print results, please provide:

• AI, PSD, or print-ready PDF vector files
• High-resolution artwork (300 DPI)
• Outlined fonts or original font files
• Correct dielines and print-ready formatting

If your artwork isn’t print-ready, our design team can assist in preparing final files, subject to your approval.

Quality Assurance & Reprint Policy

Under our reprint policy, you may request a free reprint if a Genie Packaging production error affects your packaging, including printing defects, incorrect material usage, incorrect size due to a production error, confirmed short quantity, or shipping damage supported by evidence. All reprint claims must be submitted within 7 calendar days of delivery.
